For churches streaming to YouTube & Facebook

Your livestream should sound like you’re in the room.

A pro engineer mixes your online audio live, every Sunday, remotely. No new gear. No volunteer roulette. Plans from $50 a service.

The problem

Great musicians. Good gear. Still sounds rough online?

Talent and equipment don’t get you all the way. The people watching from home hear a different service than the people in the room.

The volunteer hamster wheel

Relying on unpaid volunteers to show up every week, and hoping the mix is right when they do.

4–5×

What a local engineer costs

Hiring someone in person typically runs four to five times what our plans cost, for one person on one Sunday.

Your online church notices

Members who can’t attend, and visitors checking you out, judge the service by what comes through their speakers.

Why it matters

Your livestream is your new front door.

Before most guests ever park in your lot, they’ve already been to your church online. They watch a few minutes of worship and a bit of the sermon, and they decide whether they’d feel at home. If the vocals are buried or the sound is harsh, many never make it to the parking lot. Good audio doesn’t just sound nice. It’s how a stranger decides to become a guest.

Who’s watching

More people than you think.

First‑time guestsChecking you out from the couch before they ever walk in. Your stream is their first impression.
Members who can’t make itSick, traveling, working a Sunday shift or caring for someone at home.
Homebound and older membersFor some, the stream is the only way they still worship with you.
Family and friends far awayGrandparents, college students and people who moved but still call you home.
People browsing churchesMany people who watch online also watch other churches. Sound is how you stand out.
Your own teamPastors and worship leaders review the service. Good audio makes that worth doing.
Does it pay for itself?

The math is simpler than you’d think.

Our plans run about $200 to $400 a month. That’s roughly $50 to $95 per Sunday, about what many churches spend on coffee and donuts.

$2,400 to $4,800per year for a pro mix every Sunday
1 new familygiving $50 a week adds about $2,600 a year

If a better stream helps even one or two new families decide to visit and stay, it can cover most or all of the cost. And that’s before counting the members who stay connected while they’re away, sick or homebound.

Example for illustration, not a promise of results. Your church’s numbers will vary.

What guests notice first

People forgive shaky video. They don’t forgive bad sound.

  • Vocals they can understand. If they can’t hear the words of the song or the sermon, they can’t connect with either.
  • Balance that feels like the room. Not a wall of drums or a lone guitar, but the whole band and the congregation singing along.
  • Comfortable on phones and earbuds. That’s where most people watch, and a mix built for a big room often sounds harsh or thin there.
  • Consistent every week. A great Sunday followed by a rough one teaches viewers not to come back.

Dante consoles

No USB? Dante works too.

Larger consoles connect to the computer over Dante instead of USB, either built in or with a Dante card. Your computer joins with Dante Virtual Soundcard or a Dante interface, and we walk you through the setup.

Behringer WING, X32, Midas M32 and Allen & Heath SQ can also add a Dante card if you’d rather network than use USB.

Analog consoles

Analog boards won’t work.

Remote mixing needs every channel sent to the computer separately. Analog consoles can’t do that, so they won’t work with our service. If you’re ready to move to digital, we also do on‑site installation and can help you choose the right console.

Your computer

Bought in the last 5 years? You’re probably set.

Any computer from the last five years that runs the current version of its operating system will usually do. Here’s the baseline:

  • Mac: Apple silicon (M1 or newer) running the latest macOS
  • PC: runs Windows 11 (Intel Core 8th gen / AMD Ryzen 2000 or newer)
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM recommended, 8 GB minimum
  • Storage: SSD with 250 GB+ free. A 32‑channel recording uses about 17 GB per hour
  • Ports: a free USB port for your mixer (or Ethernet for Dante)
  • Internet: a reliable wired connection at the booth
Recommended add‑on

Two shotgun audience mics

If you don’t have them already, pick up two shotgun mics aimed at the congregation, one left and one right. They capture the room singing along, so your stream feels like being there instead of listening to a studio recording. Mount them high on stands or hang them, pointed at the seats, away from the stage monitors and PA.

Affordable options that work well
  • Audio‑Technica AT875R: compact, budget favorite
  • RØDE NTG1: clean, reliable workhorse
  • Deity S‑Mic 2: great sound for the price
  • Sennheiser MKE 600: a step up, still affordable

You’ll need two mic inputs with phantom power, XLR cables and stands. Not sure what fits your room? Ask us on your call.

Who you’ll work with

Hi, I’m Clayton.

I’ve played music since I was eleven and produced records since sixteen. I learned church audio as a tech director from 2015 to 2018, and since COVID my team and I have helped churches with their online sound full time. We work with 20–30 churches a month, across every style of worship.

I’m an audio guy, not a video guy. Let’s talk about your sound.

Everything churches ask us.

Gear, setup, Sundays, pricing. If your question isn’t here, it’s a great one for the free call.

Still have questions?

Talk to a real engineer. 15 minutes, free, and we’ll listen to your current stream.

4Getting started

How fast can we start?

Fast. We can start your install within 24 hours of enrollment. From there, a full custom mix build usually takes about two weeks from your first recorded service to a mix you love.

What happens on the free call?

It’s 15 minutes and there’s no pitch deck. We listen to your current stream, ask what you’re mixing on and how your room is set up, and tell you exactly what we’d change. If we’re not a fit, we’ll tell you that too.

How do you build our mix?

We do a multitrack recording of your first service, worship and the word. Our techs build a rough mix from it, then Clayton finishes it to your taste: vocal clarity, low end, balance between band and pulpit. We also route the mix into your livestream setup. Once you approve it, your engineer is assigned.

What do you need from us each week?

Two things: send your set list and anything else we should know in Slack before Sunday, and save and reload your mixer, camera switcher and video encoder settings each service so our changes stick.

5Gear & setup

What equipment do we need?

Three things:

  • A current digital mixer
  • A computer at your booth (see computer specs)
  • A reliable internet connection

We remotely install Splashtop for remote access and Fender Studio for mixing on that computer, then set up remote control of your mixer. Nothing to buy from us.

Which mixers do you work with?

Any digital mixer with a built‑in multichannel USB audio interface or Dante, including Behringer WING and X32, Midas M32, Allen & Heath SQ and Qu, PreSonus StudioLive, Yamaha TF and DM3, Soundcraft Ui24R and Mackie DL. See the full list above. Not sure about yours? Bring the model to the call.

We have an analog board. Will that work?

Not with remote mixing. We need every channel sent to the computer separately, which takes a digital mixer with multichannel USB or Dante. Analog consoles can’t do that, so they won’t work. If you’re ready to go digital, we also do on‑site installation and can help you pick the right console.

Does this change what we hear in the room?

No. Your in‑room mix stays with your team. We mix only what goes out to the stream, which is why it can be built for headphones, phones and laptop speakers instead of a big room.

Do you handle video too?

We’re audio people. We send our mix into the video setup you already use, whether that’s a Blackmagic ATEM, a Roland switcher or a streaming computer, so your camera team keeps doing what they do.

4On Sunday

Can we talk to our engineer directly?

Yes. You and your team join a shared Slack channel with your engineer and ours, and you get iMessage access to our team for quick questions. You send your set list there before each Sunday, and you can book support sessions or mix revisions with Clayton anytime.

What if our engineer is out sick?

You’re never depending on one person. Your engineer has a whole team behind them, and your mix is saved, so someone else can step in and your stream still sounds like you.

What if our internet drops mid‑service?

Then you’ve got a bigger problem than your mix. Without internet, there’s no livestream at all. A reliable wired connection at the booth is a must for any church that streams.

Do you mix midweek services and special events?

Yes. We cover most additional services, like midweek nights, Christmas and Easter, and special events, at no extra charge, within reason. Just give your engineer a heads‑up in Slack ahead of time.

3Pricing & plans

How much does it cost?

Live Sunday mixing starts at $50 per service. Most churches pay $200 to $400 a month. That’s roughly a quarter of what a local engineer typically costs.

Is there a contract?

Yes. Plans start with a 90‑day term. Commit to six months and save 10%, or commit to a full year and save 20%.

How does billing work?

Whatever works best for you. We can bill weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually.

1Beyond the stream

Do you do installs and troubleshooting?

Yes. Besides live mixing, we do on‑site installation and integration, troubleshooting and tech support, and audio system tuning for churches.
