Welcome to Stream Sounds

Your path to a great-sounding livestream

Here’s exactly what happens between today and your first Sunday with a Stream Sounds engineer on your mix. Four steps, and we handle the heavy lifting on every one.

1
Step 1 of 4

Software install

We connect to your church computer and set everything up so our engineers can reach your mixer from anywhere.

What we do

  • Install Splashtop and RustDesk so we can securely access your computer
  • Install Fender Studio, the software we mix your livestream in
  • Connect remotely to your digital mixer
  • Add you and your team to your church’s private Slack channel

What we need from you

  • A computer at the church that stays on and connected to the internet
  • Someone available to let us in for the install
  • Access to your digital mixer on the same network

Step 2 of 4

Prerecording

We make a multitrack recording of your first service. That recording is what we use to build your mix before you ever go live with us.

What we do

  • Record every channel of your first service as separate tracks
  • Review the recording and note anything that needs attention

What we need from you

  • Make sure all the equipment we set up during install is on and ready
  • Be on Slack so we can reach you during the service

Step 3 of 4

Mix optimization

We dial in the mix to your tastes. Our techs build a rough mix from your prerecording, and Clayton finishes it off.

What we do

  • Build a rough mix of your service, then Clayton does the final pass
  • Set up routing so the mix from our software goes to your livestream
  • Revise the mix with you until you love it

What we need from you

  • Listen to the mix and tell us what you think
  • Save and reload all settings on your digital mixer, camera switcher and video encoder each service, based on what we change

Step 4 of 4

Live mixing

Once you approve the mix, we assign your engineer. From then on, they mix your livestream every Sunday.

What we do

  • Assign a dedicated engineer to your church
  • Mix your livestream live every service
  • Post a session report in Slack after each Sunday

What we need from you

  • Send your set list and anything else we should know in your Slack channel before each Sunday
